The Lake Yard Leap of Faith Skydive
Well, we only went and did it! The Lake Yard Leap of Faith Charity Skydive Team all did their bit on Saturday 23 April when they chose (yes, CHOSE!) to jump out of an aeroplane at 15,000ft to raise money for two very good causes.
As they plummeted to the ground at 125mph, questioning their life choices and wondering if they’d brought the bins in, all eight members of the Skydive Team were raising money for Bournemouth Samaritans and Melanoma UK. And for this they must be saluted. So step forward, Richard ‘Reckless’ Smedley, ‘Dangerous’ Dave Booth, Graham ‘The Pigeon’ Whiffen, Seonagh ‘McShotgun’ Guthrie, Adam ‘Buns of Steel’ Dickinson, ‘Geronimo’ Jenny Burrows, ‘Dynamo’ Dylan Mount and ‘What’s It All About’ Alfie Santos.
The team have already raised £2,268 across both charities but we would like to raise more if possible. Our Just Giving page is still open and you can go straight to their website, search for Lake Yard, and both charity pages will pop up for you or you can use the links below. All proceeds go directly to our chosen Charities
