New Menu Launched for the New Season

With the Lake Yard kitchen closed on Mondays and Tuesdays throughout January and February, head chef Rich and his kitchen team have been working away creating a spectacular new look menu for all of you to enjoy.

We have re-vamped, re-styled and re-designed our menu with some amazing new dishes to get your tastebuds going as we kick off the new season for 2024. And, after letting our new menu settle in and getting really positive feedback from all you lovely lot, we thought we would let those of you who haven’t been down to try it yet see what you have been missing out on.

You may like to kick off with our new vegetarian starter (roasted beetroot, whipped rosary goat’s cheese, toasted pine nut brittle, beetroot purée and balsamic glaze), some pan seared scallops with smoked Pancetta, Rosemary & garden pea ragout and Prosciutto crisp or a plate of Fritti Misto (Cornish squid, Tempura Prawns & Sea Bass fillet with aioli & sweet chill).

For mains you could try the herb crumbed rack of Dorset lamb rump with black pudding bon bons, minted mash potato, honey glazed piccolo parsnips and a red wine jus. Or an 8oz Cold Harbour Farm fillet steak, with wild mushroom and truffle ragout, sweet potato puree and Prosciutto wrapped green beans. Or the confit Creedy Carver duck leg served with pickled blackberries, Rosemary mashed potato, garlic French beans in a blackberry & red wine jus. Or… well, why not pop down and see what tempts you?

The new menu is available for lunch and dinner service with the revised Nibbles and Light Bites Sandwich menu being available at lunch times only. The bar, club and kitchen are now open every day, and the serving times can be seen at the bottom of every page of the website.

Please note that we have decided to change the format of how we supply you all with fresh whole fish and seafood on our menu. We no longer hold daily stock of these items but if you give us 24 hours notice of your booking we can order you in the freshest of the fresh delicious produce that our local coastline has to offer including whole fish, local crab local lobster and local oysters! This way you can be sure that the fish and seafood that you are served couldn’t be any fresher.
