The next The Old Buoys Lunch takes place at Lake Yard on 27th November and is an excellent opportunity to catch up with old colleagues to reminisce about bights, binnacles and baggywrinkles.

If tales of surviving 40 foot waves in a rubber dinghy, discovering pirate treasure maps or being lured by mermaids emerging from the depths is your thing, then come along to an Old Buoys Lunch at the Lake Yard Clubhouse & Restaurant in Hamworthy, Poole.

Held on the last Wednesday of every month for all ex-workers of the Lake Yard Shipyard, the The Old Buoys Lunch takes place from 12 noon until 4pm but usually carries on in the bar with some hearty choruses of ‘Blow The Man Down’, knot tying competitions and rum-fuelled re-enactments of The Life of Pi.
