The next Old Buoys Lunch takes place at Lake Yard on 25th March and is an excellent opportunity to catch up with old colleagues to reminisce about saddle chocks, snatch blocks and scantlings.

If tales of being dragged under by a giant squid, being boarded by pirates or finishing the Fastnet Race in three days are your thing, then come along to an Old Buoys Lunch at the Lake Yard Clubhouse & Restaurant in Hamworthy, Poole.

Held on the last Wednesday of every month for all ex-workers of the Lake Yard Shipyard, the The Old Buoys Lunch takes place from 12 noon until 4pm but usually carries on in the bar with some hearty choruses of ‘Molly Malone’, barnacle-flicking tournaments and rum-fuelled re-enactments of Jaws 2.
